Superintendent's Corner

November 2019

Hello Port Jefferson Community!

Thank you so much for your warm welcome as Superintendent. It is an honor and privilege to serve in the community I call home. I want to thank former Superintendent,  Dr. Paul Casciano for his service.  Port Jefferson is grateful for his leadership and sincerity over the past three years. We wish him happiness and health in his retirement!

Like many of our residents, our schools are the reason my husband and I moved here almost ten years ago. As a parent, a taxpayer, and an educator I am deeply invested in our school community. I value our history and look forward to our incredible future.

As we move into the holiday season, we often pause and reflect on our blessings.  I am so grateful for this community, our staff, and our students. Port Jefferson is an amazing place to live and work. I am also grateful for my husband, Jim and my two beautiful children, Addison and James. I look forward to spending time with them during our breaks. I hope each of you find the time to celebrate the holidays with your family and friends.

We look forward to 2020!
